Wow! It’s 2015. I’m not sure about you, but that completely boggles my mind. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and are enjoying the New Year so far.
Since my last blog post in September, I’ve been working hard to complete two writing projects, and I’m happy to say that both of them were done before the ball dropped on New Year’s Eve.
Firstly, I’m thrilled to announce that Hearts on Fire, my super-secret novella (47,000 words), will have its cover reveal on January 19th, and will be published on February 3rd. Hearts on Fire is not a part of my Feeling the Heat series, it’s a stand alone story and features two young country musicians reconnecting just before an important concert in Las Vegas. You’ll find out more about the characters, and the story, on cover reveal day. I really enjoyed writing this book. I hope you’re as excited about Hearts on Fire as I am!
In more good news, the next installment in my Feeling the Heat series has been turned into my editor, and from what I understand, it will be published in July of this year. Originally titled Game Change, it underwent a title change at Carina Press, and the new title is Stealing Second.
Stealing Second marks a return to San Francisco, and the Blaze professional baseball team. The story takes place during the season, with the Blaze, once again, trying to fight their way into the post-season. Stay tuned for more information and a cover reveal!

Hi Lynne! Happy New Year. I hope you had a great holiday season. Good news. I got an email yesterday from my editor who asked if I had any problem with Stealing Second being released in June instead of July, and I said I didn’t mind at all. So now you only have to wait until June for the next installment in my series! I hope you enjoy Hearts on Fire in February. It was fun to write and it might even end up being a series, you never know. 🙂
Holidays were wonderful. Hope yours were also. I’m all in for the early release. I’ve loved them all so far and am happy this one goes back to the field. I can’t wait for the new one. Music / bands books are hot right now. It would be awesome to have two series. Maybe a book every 3 months to stagger them? How great would that be?
Every three months? Can I write that fast? I’m not sure. LOL. Glad to hear your holidays were wonderful. Mine were quiet, but nice. I’m ready for the New Year. 🙂
Hi Alison, I was wondering if any of the new books were going to be published as an audio book… I’ve been waiting since you published Breaking His Rules last year but don’t see any coming soon to Audible like all of your other books. Are you planning on releasing them as an audio book? I would truly hope so since I’m an avid fan of your books especially the Feeling the Heat series but only have time to listen to books 🙂 thanks!
Hi Nicole! Good news. My editor informed me a couple of months ago that Audible has picked up Breaking His Rules. I was told that it should be released in the audio format in early Fall. If/When I hear of an exact date, I’ll definitely let you and my other readers know via my website, newsletter and my social media sites. At some point, Hearts on Fire may be on audio. Since it’s a self-published book, I have to arrange for an audio version on my own and I haven’t taken on that task yet. 🙂 Have a great weekend!
